Information we process
Opening Motion Fab without signing in creates a guest account with its own identifier. Guest use is not the same as using a service without personal data.
- Account and device information: account ID, email if you sign in, session records, device type and operating system, IP address and approximate country. The apps and the web app also send a device identifier used to prevent repeated claims of welcome credits: on Android this is the system Android ID, on iOS and the web a random identifier kept in secure storage.
- Projects and creative content: the messages you send to the agent, files you upload (such as photos and videos), the project source and its revision history, the agent’s conversation and work steps, generated media (images, video clips, voice-overs, transcripts, music and sound) and exported videos.
- Usage: for each project and request, which AI models were used, the amount of processing, its cost in credits, exports and storage.
- Purchases: plan, credit balances, order and subscription status, and the sale details we receive from the payment provider, including the email used at checkout.
- Technical and support information: server and access logs (including IP address and request details), error information and anything you choose to send when asking for help.
Why we use this information
We use account and project information to provide the features you request: run the agent on your project, show the live preview, store your files and exports, verify sign-in, charge credits for processing and handle purchases, and answer support requests. Device, session and log information helps protect accounts, prevent repeated welcome-credit claims, investigate failures and keep the service running.
Where applicable, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations for payment records, or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent for future processing without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
AI services and other recipients
The agent and its tools send the content needed for a request to processing services. Which services take part depends on what you ask for.
- AI agent: Anthropic’s Claude models process your messages, the project files and the agent’s work in order to create and change your project.
- Media generation and transcription: OpenRouter forwards image, video, speech and transcription requests, including inputs such as your photos or audio, to the model provider chosen for the task. ElevenLabs creates voice-overs from text.
- Processing computers and servers: projects are stored and processed on dedicated Mac computers rented from hosting providers, currently in the United States. The account database, live-preview relay and other service infrastructure run on servers provided by Hetzner in Finland. Live previews are streamed through our own media server.
- Delivery and protection: Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and app and processes IP addresses and request information for that purpose.
- Payments: purchases on the Motion Fab website and web app are handled by Gumroad. The checkout and receipt identify the price, currency, billing period, taxes and whether a payment renews. Motion Fab receives purchase identifiers, status and sale details needed to provide subscriptions and credits and to handle renewals or refunds. Payment details are entered with Gumroad. If the mobile apps later offer purchases through Apple or Google, we will update this policy before they become available.
- Account email: an email delivery provider sends sign-in codes. It processes the recipient address, the message with the one-time code and delivery information.
- The Motion Fab app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Cookies and Google Tag Manager
The app uses the motion_owner session cookie to keep you signed in, including as a guest; it remains until you sign out or delete your account. The website stores your theme and language preferences and preserves campaign parameters when you follow links into the app.
Optional analytics on the website are off until you allow them. When analytics is enabled, a notice lets you accept in one click or keep only necessary cookies, and “Cookie settings” in the footer lets you change your choice or withdraw consent at any time. Your choice is remembered in this browser for six months.
After you allow analytics, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google. It measures page views and clicks that open the app (cta_click). Google receives these events and the related page information to help us understand how the website is used. Advertising consent remains off.
Google Analytics uses cookies for these measurements. You can also inspect and delete cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional analytics remain off. We use the country reported by our delivery provider to show relevant privacy information; it never turns analytics on.
How we protect data
Data between your device and Motion Fab is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to private account data and projects is restricted by authorization checks. Each project’s agent runs in an isolated sandbox without access to other projects or to our service credentials.
Storage, retention and international processing
Accounts, projects and their files are kept while you use Motion Fab. Detailed usage records are kept for up to 90 days. Database backups are kept for up to 14 days. Records that prevent repeated welcome-credit claims are stored as keyed hashes, not raw identifiers, for up to 35 days after the last grant. Payment records are kept as long as needed to process purchases and refunds and to meet legal obligations.
Your data is processed in the European Union (Finland) and the United States, and the AI and media providers above may process requests in other countries. Contact us with questions about international transfers. Motion Fab does not use your projects to train AI models; the providers’ own handling of requests is governed by their terms, and this policy does not guarantee how each provider retains inputs.
Account deletion and retained records
In app versions with account deletion, open Profile and choose Delete account, or Delete my data for a guest account, and confirm. For a guest account, use the original device and browser. If the option is not available to you, email us from the address of your account (or describe the guest account) and we will verify ownership. Do not send sign-in codes.
Deletion removes your account details and credit balances and removes your projects from your account. Project files, uploads and exports on the processing computers are deleted by a separate cleanup that may take some time. Save any videos you want to keep before deleting: files you downloaded or shared outside Motion Fab are not affected.
Some limited records remain after deletion: orders without a link to you but with the sale identifier needed to prevent duplicate payment processing; usage records without a link to you for up to 90 days; hashed anti-abuse records for up to 35 days; and database backups for up to 14 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel a PRO subscription or request a refund. Cancel PRO first through the subscription link in your Gumroad receipt or in the app, and request refunds as described in the Terms of Service.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR, UK GDPR, Brazil’s LGPD and US state privacy laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy or transfer of your data, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on it and complain to your competent data protection authority.
Use the contact below for privacy requests. We may ask for information needed to verify that you control the account. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. You can limit processing by not uploading a file or not asking the agent for a particular feature, and manage photo access through your device settings.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without required permission, contact us so we can investigate.
Changes to this policy
The last updated date identifies the latest revision of this policy. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate, and new consent will be requested where required.
